Start with your phone
Android is the main app and the home of your journal. You can write notes, comment on events, record your mood and browse your history without connecting a computer.
You choose the sources and grant permissions. Your timeline depends on the data available on your phone.
- Health Connect: sleep, workouts, steps and other available health metrics
- Phone app usage statistics
- Plans from your selected calendars
- Your notes, meals and comments
Add Windows activity
The Windows app runs in the system tray and collects computer app activity time. Open the pairing QR code on your computer, scan it with your phone and approve the connection on Android.
Our server acts as a channel for transferring activity to your phone. Once delivered, computer sessions appear alongside the other events in your day.
Foreground app time provides context for reviewing your day. On its own, it cannot tell which task you worked on or what you watched. Your comments help fill in that context.
Connect events with your own context
The timeline lets you look at sleep, walks, computer sessions and your own notes together. Calendar plans and personal notes add context to observations from your devices.
For example, after a busy day you might see a short night of sleep, several work sessions and an evening walk. A note about how you felt helps you remember the experience. This is a usage example, rather than a conclusion about causes or health.
- Add entries manually and adjust their times
- Comment on events and record your mood
- Revisit earlier days and update your entries
Reflect with your assistant
In a separate chat, you can discuss goals, ask for entries from a date range or compare days. The assistant receives conversation context and can request relevant journal information through the app when needed.
Meal estimates use a description and your selected photos. You can adjust portions and nutrition values before saving. AI responses are estimates that need your attention and review.
Keep a readable history
Your phone creates daily Markdown files and transfers them to your chosen Windows folder. You can read them in Obsidian or another Markdown editor.
Markdown is a readable copy of your journal. Android offers a separate ZIP backup for restoring the journal with photos.
